Homemade Ranch Dip Mix

A versatile dip mix to have on hand when hungry guests show up. It can be flavored to suit the crowd's tastes or to compliment the type of food it accompanies.

Serves: ¾ cup
Ingredients
  • ¼ c. dried parsley
  • 1½ t. dill
  • 2 T. garlic powder
  • 2 T. onion powder
  • 2 T. Kosher salt/sea salt
  • 2 T. minced onion
  • ½ t. cayenne pepper
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or NutriBullet.
  2. Pulse until you reach your desired outcome to mix or blend until in a powdered form.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of mix to 1 cup of mayonnaise and 1 cup of light sour cream. This can be adjusted proportionally to your needs.
  4. Store dip in the refrigerator to chill and allow the flavors to absorb and blend into the mixture.
  5. Ranch Dressing: blend together ¼ cup buttermilk or half and half, ½ cup mayo, 4 teaspoons of Ranch seasoning mix ⅛ teaspoon each of black pepper, cayenne and smoked paprika Refrigerate and let flavors meld before using. (Makes 2+cups. )
  6. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
Notes
Sriracha Ranch- add 2 t. or more
Old Bay Ranch- add 1 T Old Bay Seasoning
