Chocolate Velvet Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 - 11.5 oz. pkg. milk chocolate chips
  • 1- 8 oz. ⅓ fat softened cream cheese
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 1- 9 inch prepared pie crust, blind baked and cooled
Instructions
  1. Melt milk chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. If needed, add an additional 10-15 seconds.
  2. Whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form
  3. Mix melted chocolate chips with softened cream cheese until uniformly blended.
  4. Fold in gently, the whipped cream until no streaks remain.
  5. Place in a cooled, pre-baked pie shell.
  6. Spread evenly and chill for a couple of hours before serving so it slices easily.
